Singapore, Singapore gledipinnarToday I had my first full day in Singapore! First of all I went with my new acquaintance (forgotten the name) around Little India, a part of Singapore where a large population of Indians are based (go figure!!) She then went off to meet her friend. I went for a wander around Little India and was going to go into the Sultan Mosque (the largest mosque in Singapore) but needed to wear trousers and a shirt which I ...
Singapore, Singapore leehorscraftHello Peeps!

Lucy and I are just about to depart from a brief sojourn on Singapore Island. We have some small sotries: Only one for mention today...

We visited Sentosa Island this morning, the Resort of Asia which is a theme park sort of place. It boasts "fun abounds on Sentosa". And, "Where Asia comes to holiday". The locals love it there. The environment is plastic, the beach fake, but you do ...
Singapore, Singapore perry.f.jackson... and what can we say - it is AMAZING!!!! It is the cleanest city in the world and it is like going into a brand new city where the ribbon has just been cut!!! The hotel was divine and we managed to get a really good rest before going to Suntec City today. Suntec City is a large (air conditioned) mall which has every shop you can think of and a food court to die for! We ...
Singapore, Singapore benandem24... handwash! Pottered around the Chinatown market and visited the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. A lavish temple decorated in gold and red. Numerous Buddhas for every eventuality. Monks and locals were praying and chanting so no opportunity to visit the tooth. It is 31C and humid. Ella and Imogen in particular are struggling with the heat and finding it quite energy sapping. Ella has no appetite which is very unusual for her ...
Singapore, Singapore busafam... me smack bang in the red light district. I wonder if I am an overnight or "transit" customer??? "What is a transit rate?" I ask. "By the hour". Hmmm nice. "Is breakfast included?" Silly question. Far too late to move somewhere else, surprisingly nice room, clean sheets, plastic cover underneath, yuk ...
Singapore, Singapore john.boyd.123... world to have a substantial area of primary rainforest (Rio de Janeiro being the other city). There were more macaque monkeys just before the entrance to the Reserve & a couple of girls were taking notes to keep track of them. I'm glad I went, it was a great nature hike. I spent over 3 hours there climbing to the top & taking in all it's natural beauty.
Singapore, Singapore ericadempsey... deer and other exotic animals. It really felt like you were in the wild. Also felt a little like Jarassic Park without the dinosaurs of course. We took in one of the shows and also did a walk past the tigers and hyeanas which was a little spooky. Sorry but there are not many photos as we were not allowed to use flashes and I couldn't get enough light into the camera. We'll probably have a bit of a lay over tomorrow after the late night tonight. Catch you again soon. William
Singapore, Singapore wbeardsl... sodo. Fino all'imprevisto. Data astrale ...
Batam, Riau, Indonesia planetvaleHello Guys, Well here I am in Indonesia. I am sitting in a very dodgy mall with extremely cheap (and horrible) clothes for sale that they have dropped us in for a while. So it's my excuse to use the very basic internet facilities (the keyboard is so used and worn that you can't see the letters - luckily I can touch-type). This morning I caught the ferry to Batam which is an Island of Indonesia very close to Singapore. When I arrived I was ...
