... all sorts of officials, horses and parliament members and then the queen! It was awesome! However no our tour didn't run because of it (inconsiderate queen!). Took a stroll down to Trafalgar Square and then decided to go to Camden markets. The markets were massive, they just kept going and going! Bought a touristy tshirt and the ...

Today Ron, Abi and I headed off into London for the day. We caught the tram and then the train into London Bridge. We had heaps of delays on transport today but we eventually made our way out of the train station. I could so get used to using public transport all the time in London. The transport system here is so good and you can get to so many places so easily. And I get so much done on the trains! First we went to Borough Market which Abi wanted to go to. ...

As soon as I arrived in London I thought I had entered a scene from Harry Potter. Every street sign looked like the ones that say Privot drive, and all the houses looked like Harry's. London is everything you expect it to be and more. The stereotypical red telephone booths, old school taxis, and English pubs on every corner paint a picture of London that everyone expects. It offers something for everyone, and is full of constant activities and entertainment. Whether you're a hipster or ...

... back tomorrow. It is what we feel we should do but acknowledge that our children are very capable and resourceful people and will do whatever is needed. Reluctantly we sign off from them and head out. Shakespeare's Globe theatre is our first stop. Reconstructed in 1997 using original materials and techniques is an authentic reconstruction of an Elizabethan theatre of the Bard's time. The Tragic is overjoyed to join the guided ...

Oxford Street and the Preventable Panic Attack

Dear Oxford Street, I’ve spent far too much time on you for my own health. In all seriousness, they people who actually enjoy this area are crazy. It is an utter chaos of people, mostly tourists, stores, and buses. There is no room to walk, think, or breathe. I have to agree with Virginia Woolf when she describes the area as “too blatant and raucous.” For the LCF program we had classes in a building just off the main circle. ...
