It had been another 12 hour flight from Vancouver to London, there had been no sleep as with the previous leg and to describe the landing at Heathrow as a ground kissing relief, would not convey the hurried approach and not so straight landing angle, I fully expected to hear an announcement " you will be pleased to know that we have regained full control of the aircraft! ". Air Canada was an experience!

The first stop (and I think Marc would agree) was the highlight of the day – Westminster Abbey. We took a self-guided tour through the Abbey and learnt about the stories and history behind it. It was amazing to see the ...

The first night sleep is great because you are so exhausted. I wasn't ready to get up when the alarm went off at 8am. But we did and headed down to our impressive buffet breakfast. The kids then prepared for one of our hotel perks, a pastry class, which was really decorating cupcakes and chocolate dipped strawberries. The best part, though, was the charming little chefs outfits they had for the kids! Too cute! Dan and I ran off to do some touring on our own, seeing ...
