So after a little worrying that nothing would come through....they did. The catalyst being an e-mail via the British Burns Association. Once that was sent out I received a few offers of places to visit; Galveston (Texas) and New York. Phew!

Additionally, I had a message from the Chairman of the Katie Piper Foundation asking whether I would like to contribute to the charity's own journal named the 'Journal of Burns, Scars and Healing', which is an exciting prospect. ...

... s a beautiful day for a drive! We do most of the drive straight up the M1 but as we near traffic at a stand still we decide to take the A road. This is the England we have come to see. In Inverness we just stayed their and searched for Nessie the next day and in Stirling just rested. We got to Nottingham 2 days ago and ready to go to ...

"Since the time of Abraham and the Patriarchs (ca. 1700 BC), scholars have debated the validity and thus value of stories originating in the oral tradition, that is, information handed down across ...

... you're on vacation and this is what people on vacation do.
It can be a very wonderful experience. But perhaps not when you have to drive on the M1. Guided by a deranged GPS navigator (who tells you to "turn left" 50 yards after the turn, and whose idea of a "shortcut" actually takes you a full half hour longer than it would have had you stayed on the road, where congestion was estimated to take 10 minutes!) While you, the passenger, are sick as a dog ...
