... we both agreed that we were glad we'd taken this option (vs the Chunnel). Loved seeing the French countryside from the elevated train seats. The train was very full, but at the first of 3 stops (L'ille Europe station)there was a mass exodus of people. Arrived at Calais on time at 11:30am. After I ate dinner it was really nice to just laze about in the hotel. I now know what it means when people say they need a holiday after their holiday. We had been non-stop action for 6 days. By the time Benny got back at midnight, I could barely keep my eyes open. Really looking forward to a good night sleep.
