... br> Another small site that only takes 5 vans at a time, there are hundreds of them to choose from but some have no power and some have no toilets. Add to that that some do not open over winter we are a bit restricted but there re still plenty. The facilities are not 5 star, but they are usually clean and well cared for. The big advantage is that they are quiet and secluded so large families rarely use them.

... Middlesbrough, or 3 if you are in Whitby. The 3rd reason is that the trip is 45 miles through the moors and takes 90 minutes as it stops frequently and needs to climb a lot of hills and it was less then 10 pounds for both of us return. It follows the Esk right up to the top of the moors and closely follows the route we took the day before in the car

... just brushed him aside. Such is the thanks you get when you are made of plasticine.

From there we went on a spectacular ride over the top of the Dales from Hawes to Thwaite. It really is a most beautiful area. Very harsh and wind swept but well worth a visit at any time of the year. Drove back home along the River Swale valley and have just had dinner and a glass of red.

What more could you ask for in life?

I am sure I wrote an entry recently but it seems not so this is a bit of a catch up.

Since we arrived here we have been to a few places. Richmond is a small town about 6 miles away from us and is worth a visit. We have been 3 times but only for short visits. Went to Darlington to see the rail museum which was closed the first time but went back yesterday and had a look around. ...
