... hour flight, but it was probably the best flight I've ever had! Once we landed, it took forever to get through passport control, but once I was through I collected my bag almost immediately and made my way through to arrivals. I saw mum, gave her a big hug and started to cry! It was so good to see her and I was happy to be home, despite leaving all the adventure ...

... on this Day of the Dead, Glastonbury was covered in thick fog. Trees were either bare naked or still shedding their brown leaves and made silhouettes in the fog. ... I'm looking forward to it. I had a moment of homesickness while watching the Prime news story video on the return of the Kokoda Trekkers but was very proud at the same time. Everyone spoke really well. Also knowing that Grant & Hannes were staying with Sarah & Ben in Canberra & that Carol was there as well made me wish I could be in two places at once. Unfortunately our Skype plan didn't work out this time. I'm glad to say I had another thoroughly enjoyable ...

... today - friends, you are within a hair's breadth of killing your dinner guests with your dishcloth, let me tell you... ....but more of that next time.

off to Deddington tomo to see Toffo (aka my mate Sheila), who is probabaly responsible for setting me on a culinary, not to mention cholesterol laden and alcohol fuelled, path some 32 years ago, so all very fitting for a weekend break from this place

    to be continued....................
