      An early start this morning and as usual we got an earlier train , which was boarding in 5 mins, so we arrived in Dover before we had left France.
      The worst thing that struck us was the awful state of the English roads. The concrete M20 is diabolical. What on earth foreign visitors must think - its an awful welcome to the country.
      The Spanish road system is superb and the French roads were all open in snow and ice.

      ... to meet people leaving " because the line is too long" . Two gents say they have been waiting an hour so are not going and give us their tickets, number 14. When we get into the theatre it is packed and they are handing out tickets number 24!
