    ... 1078 and is pre-gothic with Norman architecture predominating - the round arches! The gothic parts were mainly extensions (as with the side aisles) and repairs undertaken in later years. The most dramatic repair was to the tower after the spire collapsed in 1861. This did not result in any loss of life but was a major piece of work to repair.

    We followed the River Garonne for about 60 km to Donzac. Along the way, we passed through Auvillar. A magnificent church and a truly pretty town. We are now passing through a fruit growing area.
