... and I followed meeting them again at 6pm that night and sharing dinner (and Max's hotel room!) and breakfast. From there I made the 4 hr drive back to London and Max did also - but he went via Stratford-upon-Avon to see Shakespere's birthplace. I was so thrilled to hand the keys of the (undamaged) car back this morning! It was fairly stressful driving and navigating by myself, but totally worth it! What an amazing 10 days - thanks to everyone who made it a dream come ...

... and blackberry pie ever! Then we began the 3 hour drive to Edinburgh. Initially the NavMan took us a very interesting back way to get to the M6 where the roads were frequently signed with 'Road liable to icing' signs. We also went on a one lane road where when we came across a car coming in the other direction things became a little tricky in our rather large station wagon. Needless to say "Well done Jason!" We made it ...

... houses on the sides of hills. We spent the late afternoon relaxing in our room, enjoying the sunshine. We headed out to The Albert for dinner and once again enjoyed a pub meal with lots of locals. A 'bush walk' of sorts is planned for the morning before the drive to Edinburgh, the last leg of our trip. I am feeling a little sad it is all coming to an end. Love and smiles, ...
