    ... he felt dizzy and had to lie down, and he was sweating profusely and heart rate racing....we think it was low blood sugar as he had only munched on some nuts at our short lunch stop, just before the ascent...anyway, after 2 muesli bars and more water (he had been drinking tons, don't think it was dehydration) he felt ok enough to start again. But it was a scary short time, as there we were, perched on a hillside in the wilderness, nothing but a few sheep in sight, ...

    ... be quick on most of the track - it was mercilessly up and down or narrow or uneven, ending with a mammoth uphill, followed by the steepest descent I have ever experienced. It was a grassy path there, so not fatal to lose your footing, but took great concentration! And muscle power! But the scenery was out of this world, and the day was sunny and we were HOT!     ... other tidbit I forgot to say was that the Beatles first performance, with Ringo Starr as drummer, was at Port Sunlight! Quite historic. I think it was £30 to play for 60 to 80 minutes! Now to today. This is 4 train day, and has been quite fun. Left Liverpool Lime St about 10 am heading for Wigan North Western (I love the names of these places).
