We left desert like conditions for the tropical rainforest of Cairns. Not as hot, but very humid, it is a dramatic contrast. We slept in till 8 and had a good breakfast at the Novotel. It is a huge hotel that occupies a square block.

Room is fine. King size bed, bathroom. All well presented.
Breakfast was commendable with an array of foods. (see photos)
Very happy with location of hotel. A short walk to the cafes and restaurants, night markets and esplanade.
