Day 2 we're up early to make the most of the glorious weather - we head to town and browse the local shops, then it's off to the beach and the long walk to the lighthouse. We walk along the sand to Clarke beach where we stop at a lovely lookout point and ...

I was a bit dubious as I don't really like getting salt water in my eyes and I'm not exactly that sporty or coordinated. Chris was a natural and was up catching waves in no time! It took me a bit longer but eventually with lots of perseverance I got it too! As I was paddling out, a really colourful butterfly flew ...

... I eventually got the airport shuttle to my accommodation at Elphin Villas having met a lovely postman who is cycling around Tassie on a postman's bike for the next 10 days! Having checked in I walked into town and along the waterfront. There is a really nice atmosphere here, I feel very comfortable. I had beer battered pink ling and chips for supper, sitting waterside and washed it down with a glass of Tasmanian Pinot Gris, very nice! Here starts my two week tour if ...
