The season is drawing to a close, Whistler Mountain is soon to shut and with that the formal ski season is over. This means 95% of staff stop getting a pay cheque but the upside to this is they do not have to go to work! This includes Jenny who deserves a break more than most having worked the last 15 days without a day off, working two jobs, as mentioned in previous post. Jenny will tell you more about that below.

... it seemed like every man and their dog were out the wait was around 45minutes and about 20 for the upper lifts once we were up there. This only lasted for a few hours tho as the size of Whistler Blackcomb spreads out people quite well once the morning crowds are dispersed.

Wednesday the 11th of December 2013 was a very exciting day for us. It was the day I finally got my hands on my free ski pass, bought my skis (waited to do this as pass gets you 10% discount) and got my first taste of Canadian snow….not literally! Haha.

Sunday rolled around (the following day) and Jenny’s skis were ready for pickup. This meant a perfect end to our welcome week with Jenny getting out on the snow to experience her new skis!
