... Ended up never depositing it. I guess this late in the year they don't care too much. We put our sticker out at every park but the only one where it was checked was Governor Dodge later today-and we aren't even sure they noticed they just waved us through. No one at Devils Lake or even Peninsula was there to notice if we had it.

... Niagara Escarpment, and the nearly flat continental divide at Portage. All very interesting to me.

We arrived at the bland and nondescript Carr Valley Cheese factory in La Valle about 11am and were able to watch a part of the cheese making process as they cut curd and pressed and stacked the rounds. Bought more curd, plus some of their specialty cheese.

We stopped at Pewit's nest on the way back. Different landscape from Parfrey's Glen, but again a very nice slot canyon, didn't stay long, it felt more ominous to me. Forevertron was closed. We headed north and went first to see Man Mound. These remnants of an ancient people always intrigue me. This was a large mound, but difficult to really see. I don't know how people ever saw them to know they were there.
