We spent much of our time on the M5, M6, M62, M60, M606 going well under the speed limit of 70 because it was so crowded - EVERYwhere! There was also roadworks along about 80% of the way and we saw approximately 4 road workers actually out working. It took us 7 hours to make a 4 hour drive.

After getting settled in the hotel we ventured our to conquer the tube - which we did splendidly. Our first ride we were packed in tight, but that gave us an appreciation when the car wasn't as full. We rode over to St. Paul's Cathedral and learned ...

Driving trip – Part 3. Lincoln finally held some successes for Betty-Anne, in her finding some more about some of her relatives who came from this area. We firstly visited the city Library, obtained some basic information, but they recommended trying the Shire Archives Office. This proved quite fruitful, but also exposed a small mystery too – even the staff were unable to find a marriage date for one particular couple, which led ...

... his family are buried. The church was beautiful with lots of beautiful stained glass. The walk back to meet up with the coach brought us along the Avon River, which was gorgeous as well.

Next stop for the day was York. York is a city that still has the original stone walls in tact surrounding the older part of the city. It’s also known as being the most haunted city in ...
