Can't believe how early we had to get up this morning - 3:30am NZ time (which is 1:30am Aus time) to get to the airport.
But it was all good. Watched the Twilight movie on the plane on the way home and now i cant wait to see New Moon!
Coming through customs in Australia was funny as i had to go in the high security line due to my Maouri souviner that i brough back with me that is classified as a weapon. I was just glad that Border Security wasnt there to film me haha.
... ride so I enjoyed careering down the slopes and tried to break as little as possible (I'm such a nervous rider, I try to push my boundaries!) If I didn't feel so far behind everyone I would have stopped anyway as the park was so pretty. The ride organiser, Chris was kind enough to match my pace and he told me they'd organised this ride for a few years now and the weather had always been kind. After a chilly start to the morning it was definitely warming up, and we met ...
Beechworth, Victoria, Australia cheliWe have driven further into the state of Victoria and away from the coast into the bush and mountains. During the drive, we passed several areas that had been affected by the recent bush fires, the trees were all black but begining to regenerate.
We first passed through Glenrowan which was where the famous Ned Kellys shootout ...

Beechworth, Victoria, Australia macphails... the details of our lives. Jason's kids had 'adopted' the kids from another family, so all us adults sat around for the afternoon talking about our relative journeys, the benefits of various cars (a very important topic when one travels all the time) and then the lady from the other family piped up with 'Our house has ghosts in it'. This led to a fascinating discussion on the activities of these ghosts, I offered my opinion that they were not ghosts at all, but demons, and they ...

Wodonga, Victoria, Australia wherever"Suffering" through the heat wave, we were happy to know that the Madras had planned a waterski party on the Murrey river for the evening and then a "barbie" afterwards. There house is backing the river, so not a long way to go. The river is down, so we do have to trailer the ...
Albury, New South Wales, Australia tstewy... before? Well if not, I'll tell you again. Basically, this irish family called the Kelly's came over a few 100 years ago with a bit of a reputation, and apparently the corrupt police over here at the time, set them up and accused them of doing things they didnt do and they couldnt have done as they were in prison (so they must have done something bad to start with!). Any way, it eventually ends up that the Kelly Clan endup being surrounded by the police in Glenrowan. For ...
Albury, Glenrowen, Australia gemmatthews... to sit and watch while Robyn and another doctor tugged and pulled and yanked to try and re-set the bone. Ouch. But far from the experience putting Conor off the boarding, the frustration of not being out for a week seemed to inspire him to go faster and harder than before. I came home the next night to find him sliding along a rail the lads had built outside our house. The mentallist. When we weren't boarding we spent many a happy hour just sitting in with our housemates, putting the ...
Mt Hotham, Australia conor-and-wendy... crops in the paddocks; I'm happy to be home. I'd like to tell you lots about Albury, this mighty twin town on the Murray River, but having slept for nearly two weeks and only just taken to driving again (much safer than my moped skills)I'm not sure what to say. It's great. It's pretty quiet but the main drag, Dean Street, has had a face-lift and everything is clean and new. I still come out with comments like, "You have proper gutters here!" so there are ...
