... and taxied to where I met my father’s friend, Michael Peterson. Mr. Peterson and his son were there to greet me. It was a pleasure meeting him and his family. They were very welcoming; I felt right at home. We later went out to dinner and then relaxed by watching TV. I checked the weather real quick and then went to bed around 11:30 PM local time.

I made the most of the sun lounger on the upper decking, which was bliss. There was a strong breeze, which was really welcome as it was so hot. I ended up with alternating between lying out with my book, and lying inside with my book. All day long….bliss! The kids watched some tv, for the first time in ...

... Arch first and before sunrise.

This arch is always a treat; its huge, exposed, high and you get a good view of the rest of the park. I set up my tripod ready for sunrise and waited about 10 minutes before the sun hit the red rocks and set them on fire. Delicate Arch gets light from the top down, along with the landscape behind it. As the sun rises the reds start coming out and accelerate towards you from the hill on the horizon and then closer and closer ...
