Poor Spike had to come home in the pouring rain and wouldn't let me come to pick him up, he was like a drowned rat when he got home. In the end we had a chilled out night watching a doco called Collapse which was very interesting and well worth a watch if you can, and then we started to watch a doco regarding the nature of Stonehenge which was awesome. And I must say this Henge has nothing on Gunbarrel henge ;-)

Just a few words about today, as this was our much needed chill out day, in Paradise Ridge, where we all got to get up when we wanted, and did what we wanted all day! I made the most of the sun lounger on the upper decking, which was bliss. There was a strong breeze, which was really welcome as it was so hot. ... Arch first and before sunrise.

This arch is always a treat; its huge, exposed, high and you get a good view of the rest of the park. I set up my tripod ready for sunrise and waited about 10 minutes before the sun hit the red rocks and set them on fire. Delicate Arch gets light from the top down, along with the landscape behind it. As the sun rises the reds start coming out and accelerate towards you from the hill on the horizon and then closer and closer ...
