... we were given ginger tea to sip as we walked around. This was served to us by young ladies dressed in colourful local dress.

After a good look around we were driven to board small boats that would take us on a gentle trip around the bay. This gave us lots of photo opportunities as we avoided the numerous small fishing boats that were everywhere.

All in all a brilliant day in India. One that Sue and I will remember for a long time.

... views unlike anything we've seen before, and paths undisturbed by any other tourists. That night was the first England World Cup match, and Ails and I got up at 3am in great anticipation. With hindsight the lost sleep that night was definitely not worth it!! Next, we jumped on a train and headed south to Fort Kochi. After a home cooked breakfast, we left Alleppy this morning on a double-decker speed boat down the backwaters on Kerala to our awaiting bus. We arrived back in Fort Cochin at noon, where our tour had begun two weeks ago.
