... was closed for the off season and therefore would not be open until October. After wandering around aimlessly for a little while longer and not finding anything suitable Steven decided he was going back to the hotel to wait it out until lunch. Hungry and determined I decided now was a good time to use the communal kitchen our home-stay provided. So while Steven marched back to our room I made a few stops to pick up some fruit and bread.

... go for a swim. We then made our way home but opted out of the local bus again and went for a tuk tuk this time, back to the ferry port. This only cost 200rs between us and we all squeezed in the back for a much easier journey. On the return ferry we got on the slightly bigger boat as it was already there. ... for a 12hour boat trip along the backwaters. Having spent the last couple of days checking on the Internet, I found out that The Lord Nelson had a pilot booked at 12:30 today and was going to berth at NCB berth, right next door to where the ferry from Port Kochi comes in. The internet is such an amazing place, once you get it to work for you!
