... the tiller to me and went along the gunnel to fend us off the boat nearest to us. It became apparent to me very quickly that going forward was no longer an option so I put us in reverse and backed away into clear water where I put Charis in forward gear and got up a bit of speed which took us away from the line of boats and we managed to get past them without further hindrance. We think that the boat we (gently) hit was unoccupied.

Our decision was to have one night in Edinburgh and spend a few days driving up there stopping at a few places that we didn't know, north east England and south east Scotland being the part of Great Britain that we known least well.

Not a lot to write about today. Up around 5:00am and then into two cars for the drive back to Heathrow via the car rental depot. Bob and Lorraine Phillips will travel with me in one car while Gill and Colin Cooke will take the second car. The others are all leaving later in various configurations as not everyone is going to Heathrow today.

... and Rugeley ground. Given that Stirling took us on a very circuitous route and it has taken us nearly 4 hours to arrive at the ground, there is much grumbling as the tourists alight from their vehicles.
