... the hostel was again straight at the beach (view at the several islands of the bay). Stunning! We visited the ‘Harura Falls’ and we had diner on a real ship (called Schippeys – not a sailing ship haha) Best fish and chips ever had!

... I could see we were eating the shell as well as the nut meat. She explained that she picks the nuts when they are green, pushes a toothpick through them and then goes through several steps to pickle them. The shell was the same texture as the meat. The movie set has had a positive impact on the local community; employing dozens of high school students as tour guides & other locals as bus drivers, etc. And local craftsmen and construction crews are kept employed building new access roads and outfitting the site for night tours. ... has a toothbrush on the fence. It was possibly the most epic thing we had seen and we even attached our own toothbrush to the fence as a reminder of our time in New Zealand. Absolutely brilliant!!
