The bridge connects the NY and VT sides of Lake Champlain and Crown Point Fort ruins, museum, state park and Champlain Lighthouse are on the end of the NY side of this new bridge. We parked the truck downtown & walked around before heading out to Button Bay ...
... mountain then hiked the 1.25 mile/2000 feet to the top (our Fitbit told us we had climbed 118 flights of stairs, that'll clean out the pipes)!!! It was an incredible experience we'll never forget!!
Next we visited the North Pole & Santa's Workshop before heading to Lake Placid to see the lake & the Olympic Village!! It was another crazy day!!

We left Vermont at 1pm to begin our 7 week journey. Heading to New York City to stay with a dear friend Will Robb.
Will has Saturday planned out - highlight include: seeing Dinosaurs at The Natural History Museum and riding on the subway!

... for my whining. Today we did a 7 km walk in Montpelier, Vermont. We took some time to tour the state capitol building along the way. The Vermont capitol is small but charming. Again we were very surprised at the complete lack of security. What a contrast to New York where they didn't want to let me in because I had a wine bottle opener.
