So today started off with not knowing what we would be doing.. After our complementary breakfast and a good chat with our lovely hotel owners at Meroom, we were next door in the spa house (RANDOM i noooo) renting a bike for the day and off we went!. We are up early in the morning to begin our journey. Everyone is excited. Except me who is feeling anxious at the prospect of such a long journey and so much flying.... We get to the airport in plenty of time and so enjoyed a leisurely breakfast airport style - ham and cheese croissants. Off through customs where we meet up with the Mansells. ... America too. After lunch we take a stoll down the beach to find a bar on the water. We walk for 25 minutes and the sun feels amazing on my pasty white skin. I later realize that in those 25 minutes I got a sun burn. The kind that makes your skin sing. From just 25 minutes! No wonder the people here are so dark. The bar we find is awesome. The owner has been traveling the world for 13 years opening beach bars and this is his 4th one. I always admire people who have the guts to do that. ...

... the bay was quite pretty.

Coming down the hillside from the Giant Buddha, we stopped at a roadside restaurant called 'Kereeview', and had a well earned tasty meal. Our waiter/attendant who served us had a great sense of humour which set a relaxing atmosphere.

With alarms set for 4:00 am wake up in the morning, to catch the plane to Siem Reap, Cambodia, we settled down to sleep.
