... by the police in their 4-wheel drives, along with the equally distanced life guard patrols. A sun searing cooldown was needed, so we entered the sea and joined the breaking waves with some top bombing. Josh and Ben enjoyed watching the skate boarders at the skate park. There were some very impressive displays.

The end of our five mile jaunt brought us straight to Santa Monica Pier. This iconic structure has appeared in many Hollywood films. ... Venice Canals which are beautiful. Totally hidden away so you don't know they're there but only like 2 blocks back from the beach. Day 1: after farewelling Chikki and Falu we head over to Paresh and Pravina's house our home for the next two nights.

Paresh and Pravina's house is beautiful. It is also very homely and cosy. The backyard has a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. In the backyard Unjalee has an impressive vegetable garden - tomatoes, Japanese cucumber, snow peas, zucchini.
