... to Blakeney &#8211; again me and John have been there before, but mum and dad haven&#8217;t, we look round the book sale and then a small craft fair before taking a stroll along the harbour.<br><br>Last stop for dinner before going back was in Wells-next-the-sea where we go into Whin Hill Cider shop. Mum, dad and John taste some ciders and ma and pa purchase a couple of bottles. Fish and chips for dinner tonight &#8211; yum!

Dad and John have a pint of the local beer, which they both enjoy and we bump in to the other people from where we are staying. It turns out that they had been to Castle Acre and to a different bird reserve today, so we chatted to them for a while about where we&#8217;d all been and what we&#8217;d seen etc. before finishing up our drinks and heading back.

Reflecting upon the experience, it was *************eering one for myself, simply because it is a place visited on numerous occasions in the past, but it always leaves me wondering just what a foreign visitor would make of a town of this nature, which typifies the tacky, yet somehow alluring nature of a fair number of British coastal towns.<br>

... We were the only tenters. The rain had stopped a bit, so put up the tend and then drove back down the road for some fish and chips- not too bad. After dinner we decided to go for a walk, but it was already so dark we couldn&#8217;t see a thing. The toilets had no light either&#8230;or warm water&#8230; So got into bed, it was only 9.30pm! It was freezing cold, so not the best sleep.

Today we had a big party at my Dad's allotment to say goodbye to us and to celebrate mine and my Dad's Birthdays. The weather was great and everybody turned up: Me, Mum, Dad, Katie, Carmel, Paul, Dan, Caroline, Craig, Shona, Rich, Gee, Becks, Pete, Linda and more.
