... were the lamas which seemed to have some unique personalities between them. We moseyed through the rest of the zoo stopping at the tortoises, reptile enclosures, the monkeys and birds and whatever else tickled our fancy at the time. The squirrels ( running wild) were friendly enough to pop out and say hello every now and then. But most of the big cats were hiding high up or behind things. ... from the audience. It really was hilarious. The second presentation was the Filipino Crew Show. They sang some of their native songs, and also performed some of their native dances. The show started with a moment of silence. Many of the ship’s crew are from the Philippines and some of them do not know the whereabouts of their family in the wake of last week’s typhoon. Beth worked all day today, so we decided to again visit Balboa Park. The Park covers about 1,200 acres in the middle of San Diego. It is noted for it's beautiful gardens and museums.
