We moved on -- to a second swim stop. It was quite windy there so we had the captain throw us a rope to hold onto......so that we didn't float a long way away. Too much work to swim back against the current.
Today we managed to get to Bodrum Castle - very impressive building with a long and varied history. There were lots of steps and spectacular views of the Aegean as well as Bodrum marina. ... By the time I returned mum was recovered so we did some more shopping - and picked up some exquisite silk cushion covers. The shop owner saw us coming - and we were treated to apple tea - and complementary "kuneffe" after our pide. Today we tried to visit Bodrum castle - and failed. Having got up bright and early so as to avoid the heat of the day we arrived to find that the castle is closed on Mondays. I wanted to pick up some more books ( it is amazing how much you can read lying beside a pool!) ...
