The Adventure Begins Again!

... hassle to drag him out. Normally I would say something, but I thought as I was sitting next to the guy for the next 11 hrs it wasn't worth the hassle. Plus I normally ask for the aisle seat anyway, so I can walk around as I please. <br>Finally as the plane revved up and started along the runway the cabin really started shaking as if it was going to fall to bits any second. I turned to the guy and said, "that doesn't sound healthy does it?"<br>And off we went!<br>To be continued...<br><br>

The Cotswalds

Dinner last night at The Old School House in Port Isaac was probably one of the best we have experienced this trip. Starters were Smoked Duck then Grilled Scallops, mains were Tiger Prawns in an asian sauce and Whole Grilled Bream stuffed with crab and lobster meat. Desserts were the now obligatory Creme Brulee and Chocalate Pudding. An Australian wine complimented the meal just nicely.<br><br>Next morning ...

November in Trowbridge

... a couple of jobs, ski resort jobs, retail.. something a bit different to what I do. I did also apply for some computer jobs as well just to see how I go.. As yet nothing!! I'm just wondering if they disregard me because I haven't got my national insurance no yet.. ah well it should be here soon. I'm a bit miffed actually because some of the applications took a bit of time to do and they don't even have the curtesy to even acknowledge your application.<br><br ...

Night out with cousin

... run down them!! <br> In Bath we started at the Huntsmen, very appropriate.. lovely pub except I went to the loo and when I came out I couldn't find my cousin.. she'd gone upstairs out of the way. You could imagine everyone was staring at me quite intently as I walked around and around the pub.. but not upstairs. I think I found her just as she was coming out of the loo! <br> Another pint and then we decided we were hungry so ...

The start of something new....

... my plan exactly... Everything happened so quickly. One minute I was still planning on going on a holiday with some friends, and the next I was buying my ticket out of South Africa... I was doing all of this without knowing what to expect and without knowing what would happen next. That day, 28 September 2008, was the first time I would be getting on a plane to leave my country, the first time I would be allowed into duty-free, the first time for alot of things to be honest. And ...

A Crazy Scot & an Austrian jumpin bean!

... Bath is gorgeous &amp; a great little cafe lifestyle happening. The architecture is magnificant &amp; kept in fantastic order. If you could afford to live on the royal crescent then you certainly would. The view over the gardens is spectacular. The rest of the day just consisted of catching up &amp; sitting in with some good food.

Splish, splash we were taken to Bath

... so-and-so for stealing their cloak or whatever. Vengeful little bathers those Romans. On our way to Bath we stopped at a large historical mansion at Dyrham Park in Wales. They wouldn't let us take pictures inside, so you'll just have to imagine how stately and posh it was. Think giant tapestries hanging on the walls, portraits galore, and huge wooden beds with posts that ...

Visiting Bath

... an interesting documentary on British youth who were obsessed with becoming bodybuilders. One story described a 22-year old who would dehydrated his body the days before a competition, so that his skins would be tighter and therefore his muscles would stand out more. I started to watch another documentary on the growing middle class in Britain, but the show was not very balanced and I was tired, so I called it a night.

Bath

... to catch the bus to the hostel though, as I would never have found it at night. I loathe arriving in a new city at night. Bath kind of reminded me, just a teeny little bit of Berlin, with its broad streets and big square buildings though Bath's are older ...
