    ... and fluffy, a toffee with hazelnuts and peanut butter or salty caramel ice cream. Thanks again to Sous Chef Alyn Rees again who patiently has allowed me to try and retry this maneuver. The end result it pretty awesome in appearance and quite tasty as well! As an aside all the ice creams served at the Gilpin Hotel are made in house. They are rich and creamy and a match to the best Italian gelato!

    ... adrenaline flowing. I enjoyed the ride along the lake, and then into the hills and valleys. It seems to me there are many more sheep than people in the area.     ... and very humid. On the low ground it was stifling and sapped our energy. Up higher in the breeze it was really pleasant walking. A few refreshing spots of rain as we descended.     ... learned to use a pasta maker to roll out the dough until it was wafer thin. I made two types of scones (plain and sultana[raisins]) and lavender biscuits which were frozen for future use.     Day 3 coast to coast and we both went to breakfast tired. Neither of us have ever walked so far in consecutive days, even in training. I had to put Compeeds on both feet before putting on my socks and we both had to dose up with Ibuprofen for sore feet and joints. Poor old Katrina (though not as old as her husband) struggled today.
