Well little Willbee groupies... Willbee went to school in Grasmere today. Well we visited a tiny little school called Church of England Grasmere School. Grasmere is a town where Beatrix Potter grew up and wrote her tales of Peter Rabbit a and Jemima Puddleduck. Maybe your teachers will show you some of these little stories. Windy Kippford

A travel blog entry by artham1953 on Aug 11, 2014

Very windy overnight and for most of the day with scattered showers. John, Bella and Edward were all sick during the night, John's as a result of trying whisky with James at the Anchor!! Bella was still not feeling well for most of the day. James and Sarah went to Gatehouse of Fleet and Kirkcudbright and visited GG on the way back. After lunch, the young ones went for a walk and the rest of us had some shut eye. We Facetimed Carole and Mike who were at Alison's with her family which GG really ...

The Vikings were here and their names for the lakes stuck. The boat rental place is a couple of miles away in Portinscale so we drive. Good thing we reserved our canoe. Otherwise we'd have to wait for one to come back. The day ...

... the bus back down the hill. We moved on, through Newby Bridge to Coniston Water, and found a shady spot just off the road, where we sat on the beach, soaked up the clear air (Charlie even had a swim - amongst hundreds of tiny fish nibbling at his legs!) and enjoyed the ambience and lack of crowds. This is the place where Sir Malcolm Campbell and his son Donald set and re-set ...
