      ... tunnel tank with ducks swimming in the top! And the obligatory piranhas, obviously not in the same tank! They had talks on at various points, and Ben held a giant land snail!       ... they brought them out! They did a good job though, despite Bella being a bit under the weather. Managed to get in dessert as well, although my sticky toffee pudding was the bitterest caramel I've every tasted! I managed to eat my way around it though.

      Had a very blustery walk down to Buttermere after lunch, where the race started and finished. Was very very windy, and cold, but managed to get there and back with minor mud and poo catastrophes. Returned to the lodge for ...

      After months of walking all over the place it was time to meet and see if I could keep up with seasoned Macmillan walkers in the Lake District. We walked the Fairfield Horseshoe which is an incredible walk. I had such a good time with lovely people and now can't wait to tackle the Himalayas! Nepal here I come! ...

      This final stop was incredible. Exploring what's left of Hadrian's Wall and the Roman Forts was an amazing experience. It was so easy to imagine what life would have been like in those very buildings. The Roman's sure were a clever lot. They thought of the most amazing things like underfloor heating systems and made the most beautiful pottery and tools. They definitely brought civilization with them when they arrived here. ...
