The last few weeks have been really manic while we've prepared to put our furniture into storage and get our property ready for letting. Thankfully, most of the hard work is completed and now we can concentrate on getting ready for our travels. It's difficult to believe that we leave in just under a week!
We fly into Delhi on Monday, arriving very early ...
... cousin Elliot, his fiancee Nicole and their little 8 month old baby Isla came to visit. The girl has personality! After a play we were off to the Green Man for dinner - Uncle Alan joined us again. We had lovely views of the countryside and fireworks (Guy Fawkes seems to drag out for a few days!). Then back home to Hudsons Lodge for an early night - to Paris tomorrow!

... up by my cousin Elliot after some initial issues - Josh and I had hoped to hire a car for a couple of days, however due to lack of credit card we couldn't. Elliot kindly swung past Jim and Cath's to pick up all our 'other stuff' and then to Aunty Sue's house in the country - seriously !
Another country down - just Paris to go on Sunday morning. I can't believe we will be home in a week - the much feared packing will have to begin soon!

It was really sad leaving Israel. The flight back to Heathrow was about 4 hours by Jumbo then we bussed it back to Cambridge an hour late after I mixed up the bus tickets. We reached the flat in Cambridge around 1 am exhillerated but exhausted. What a brilliant two weeks!

Robin and Alli dropped my off at Hilary's on the 6th on their way down to London to pick up Rachel. Hilary, Gillian and I did a quick tour through Huntingdon which is a small town. We visited the Oliver Cromwell museum (the man who brought parliament to England) and then headed into Cambridge by bus. Hilary was in a 5km run for cancer so Gillian and I ...
Huntingdon, England, United Kingdom dfurler... wasn't enough. Instead we've decided just to settle on a (long) list of Highlights. They're all listed here on this site so, those of you that have been keeping up with our dots as they moved around the globe, you know the answer to your question (before we meet up with you all and get asked it). To date we've had 3200 hits on the website since we left and curiously, over 900 in August. Mums:- stop logging on every 5 minutes!! I'm so glad all those hours spent in ...
Codicote, United Kingdom rtwexplorer... glitz and glamour. At least that was the preconception I had. Instead there were down-and-outs, beat up pick-up trucks, and thoroughly average-looking people wandering around. It is all a bit tacky really - there are lots of tattoo parlours and, oddly, wig shops, amongst the rows of souvenir joints selling **** with pictures of movie stars etc. Admittedly there is a lot of neon, whether this translates into glamour I'm not sure. The hostel is a ...
