    2nd day

Tangkuban perahu Left the hotel at ard 730. Took around 1.5 hrs to get to tangkuban perahu. The entrance fee on weekdays is 200,000 and 300,000 on weekends and public holidays for foreigners. So we paid 300,000. The view was pretty amazing but be careful of the locals who are selling stuff. Don't show any interest of you don't intend to buy any or they'll end up following you around. Other than that, it's quite safe. Wanted to stop by the floating market on the ...

... to two Malaysian guys we met the night before. They had spent the day south of Bandung at the "White Crater" - a consideration of ours if we had got the night bus. Not particularly overwhelmed by it we felt reassured we'd made the right decision to move on but the pictures were impressive! Originally I'd ordered a 10 disc box set of History of the World, but since Indonesian customs don't tax like normal countries (by weight or size) because they need to steal more money from you, they tax by duration of the video so they wanted me to pay $1877 to clear the customs or they would 'destroy' (aka 'steal') my purchase. That's been a long-winded saga, ...

Good Friday Adventure to Pasa Baru

... out of us. So it was already approaching 5pm by the time we were heading home. It was definitely a day that was exhausting, but a lot of fun. I'm glad that we adventured to Pasa Baru, especially with Sean because he's been around for so long and isn't afraid to investigate new places. Alice and I will definitely find our way back there again, but I'm not sure that Kyle would. It was busy and crowded, and not his kind of thing (I think, anyways).

    Just another adventure in Bandung.

... the Primary students were in the Hall playing games, singing, dancing and watching performances. I was forced into singing a duet with the gym teacher, which I still think they should've gotten Kyle from Secondary to do it with me...the kids would've gone NUTS! Children's Day was exhausting, but at least Erin and Lee were able to pop in for a visit to see the school and catch up with Alice while she wasn't teaching.

The Saturday of the holiday was much ...
