5pm<br><br>South of the Border is this rediculous stop on I 95 just south of the South Carolina and North Carolina border. Hence the name. Anyway, they have huge dinasour statues, gift shops, and terrible food. I have been wanting to check it out all summer and I'm stoked I finally did. I bought a bag some nic nacs and a tank top. Tyler got a blanket. <br><br>We didn't take any pictures. It just wasn't that kind of a visit.

... up at this very awesome bar with fish nets and stuffed fish on the walls called The Salty Nut.  Thpogh the name didn't match the decor, it seemed like a fun place. <br><br>After a beer or two Ty and I realized that every guy in the bar had tan cacky shorts.  Tyler had frayed cargo shorts and I was wearing jean shorts.  We aparently didn't recieve the memo.<br><br>We didn't stay out too long.  

... and friendly? Well I really don't think that the metered parking scam is very nice at all!!! In the words of Stephanie Tanner, "How Rude!"<br><br>Either way, we laughed it off and had some yummy calamari and spring roll appetizers at the Liberty Tap Room &amp; Grill. When we got back to the hotel, the front desk had soft, gooey chocolate chip and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies which ended the night on a sweeter note.<br><br>

Up at the crack of dawn today, and drove through to South Carolina. We stayed with friends from NH that recently moved down south. It was great for Gabi &amp; Heather to see each other: All the girls had fun, and sounds like they are still awake chatting now (12:30 am). They'll be cranky when I get them up at 6:30 to head out!

... Back at the campground, we go to the beach were the tide is pretty high. Not too much to pick up.  Tip: these coupons books are good for one thing. They give you the tide tables for 3 months. Use that to find out when it is the good time to go to the beach.        We meet new neighbors from Ohio. They arrived yesterday. They been drinking all day with there shirts off (no not the ladies). We awoke to a beautiful sunny, 86 degree day today and were quite sad to be heading home -- especially when we heard it was cold snowy at home. We plan on staying overnight in South Carolina. ... sand. Again the seaside is much like ours but more Blackpoolish. Chris has finally swam in the sea. We have had lazy days the passed few days, ready for the big drive up the coast. Worth a visit, a good 6, but book a hotel with plenty of activities before you come, it's too hot to stay on the beach all day and shopping, crazy golf and fairground rides are really your other options. So tomorrow we are on the move and who knows where...
