... land side is a string of restaurants, many attached to hotels, and some bars with the occasional shop. We walked perhaps a block looking at some menus until we came to The Tides which looked nice and had a guy playing the saxophone and singing. He was really good so we decided that would do. I had a seafood salad; octopus, shrimp, orange and avocado on a bed of greens with some bitter leaves. It was really good. I also had a nice Chilean red wine. Marie ...
... our way! What a panic!
We arrived back at the RV office at Cutler Bay at quarter to 11 and dropped the van off. Thankfully we got our full deposit back. We didn't tell them about the blocked up loo! They ordered us a cab and we set off pretty quickly to Miami. Much quicker and easier than the check in was.
The cab was seriously expensive - about $90 - but took us to our apartment in North Beach. A nice Argentinian man ...
... some more shopping... Then took some bikes out and rode along the beach to the bay and marina. Tonight we are going to Little Havana-an area known for its cuban influence. We are going to try cuban cuisine for the first time! Day 3 Today we went to the beach and soaked up some sun. On the way back we walked Ocean Dr and looked at all the really old cars they had on display. Every man and his dog was out today ...
... jumbo shrimp cocktail, surf and turf, creme brulee... this is the life.
On the way back we passed by several hotels and restaurants. Definitely a happening place especially on a Friday night. Could I see myself living here? Possibly... where's that winning lotto ticket when I need it?
Back to the hotel and asleep probably around 11. I would have stayed up later but the martinis were saying GO TO BED.
