... wagging their tails and knocking into things. The town celebrated his centennial in 1999. A couple of the buildings we saw today may be about that old, not sure. Anyway it was a nice drive.

On the way back down, we saw some wild turkeys, some cows and horses, but no bear or deer. We were in the Lincoln National Forest and on the Mescalero Apache Reservation just about the whole time.

    Clean, clean, clean!

It rained all night! Guess that's what made sleeping better, even Bob since he didn't get up until after 5.

It's been cloudy and drizzly all day, so it was a good day to clean and do laundry. I guess I need to do the same thing once we return to our S&B house, esp since we're having company the middle of Oct and since our S&B house is much bigger than this one, it will take all that time!

I don't care what Camping World says, somehow water comes in under the living slide! It rained while we were out and when we returned, I stepped in a puddle. But during its hey day it enjoyed prosperity and became famous for the exciting and lawless times of the Lincoln County War which included Billy the Kid. The road which runs through the center of town (in truth, the only road) was once described by President Hayes as "the most dangerous street in America". Many historians consider this to be the most authentic old ...

... It belongs to the Mescalero Apache Indians. Guess after what the white man did to them, they are getting their revenge! We had thought about playing a round of golf there, but it cost $95, yes you read that right NINETY-FIVE DOLLARS!! They are having a special during Sep, on Sun & Mon, it's only $60. We went into the casino and I lost $4.85, Bob won $32 and Ronny won $128. So all in all it wasn't a wasted trip.
