We will be on both the east and west coasts, so 200 miles is relevant on our journey. By the way, from north to south, the distance is 465 miles. The population of Malaysia is 28.3 million. For comparison, Texas is 25.1 million and California is 37.3 million.

As I am typing this we are heading south on I-25, and on our right we can see some of the forest fires happening all over Colorado this month. Apparently the first fires started June 9 and have been going since then. Already more than 248 homes have been destroyed in what is considered the worst fires in Colorado history. So sad for the people here.
We did check the road conditions to make sure we would not get stuck in fire country somewhere. Better safe than sorry right?

This morning we went into Cherry Creek State Park. The park is situated in the middle of all the urban cities that surround Denver and is basically the flood plain behind a large flood control dam that was built in 1960 to protect Denver.
