The Lily Pad Inn was an amazing hostel. The minute we arrived we felt so comfortable and relaxed. The staff there is amazing - so sweet and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it felt as if you were staying at an old friend's home. The food was also amazing. I've lived in China for two years and I had two of the best dishes I've eaten at this hostel. I should also mention that the cost was so affordable. Thanks for a great stay!

Some of the time we cycle through Bai minority villages, weaving through the small streets avoiding skooters, small children and farmers carrying baskets …

Kirsten and I arrived into Dali in the late evening. We took a taxi from the main bus station, which is located in the newer part of town, to the Old Town. I'll admit that arriving at night was the way to go with Dali. The Old Town is really beautiful and it was lit up ever so perfectly. Our hostel was located outside of the city walls and across …
