    ... for fishing, and several men were doing that today. I spoke to two chaps, one was reeling in a fish, a Mirror Carp, which estimated to be 12 lbs., see photos. Once caught it is released back into the lake to be tempted by someones bait again and again. Carp is the main fish here. (Doesn't seem to be destructive like the European Carp in Australia) According to the notice board catches have been as great as 500 lbs! Fishing competitions are ...

    ... seating and obviously both could sit there and watch you play. Even if they didn't watch the entire match (perhaps before you go out to bat) they could could go next door to the tennis Center and have a hit. Sure it's not Wimbledon but it must rank being so close to the SCG. The SCG has a magnificent surface (really) and it is mown and kept in playing condition. I've included a couple of shots of the pavilion.

    Weather: Cloudy, mild, Sue says uninteresting!
    Checked out of the hotel, but after brief shopping, returned to hotel for luggage, coffee and start blog of yesterday. Underground train to Marylebone, then mainline train to Banbury, arriving 1.45pm.     ... off with the opposition 5/161 off 36 overs. The rain set in and after a half hour or so the match was called off.
