As the festival didn’t begin until 2pm both days, I had the mornings to explore Brighton and take a walk along the beach front, before catching the festival bus to Brighton Airport – where Wildlife is taking place. They’ve actually shut the airport for the weekend.

... book A few travel games String and beads A plain exercise book An educational science book And educational arts book SO- this is our list. We decided to go for ONE backpack because we felt that at some point in the 4 months there will come that terrifying moment where we have to carry all our luggage and both our kids will be sleeping! This way, spen can have the backpack on his back, and the electronic day bag on his front. I can have my hand luggage on my back and Rupert in ...

... I know that feeling. Although I suspect it's less to do with incessant list making, and more to do with beach themed dreams. She has started her own countdown which is charming. She bases it around how many nana and grandad visits are left (they come round every friday, bringing gifts of fish and chips!), or how many more showers she will have. That kind of thing. Rupert is, as always, blissfully unaware that we are about to remove him from all he knows and drag him ...
