We left Seattle around 10 am for a quick trip across the border for an overnight stay in Vancouver. I think it is important to point out Cat finished off his shrimp from the previous evening with some eggs from the breakfast bar and had his favorite breakfast of the trip....shrimp and eggs. I give him credit for not being wasteful, too! I took the …

... The lifeboat drilled scheduled for 4pm is postponed until 4:30. This is VERY unusual. We learn that there is still a crowd of people working their way through the embarkation process. Finally, everyone is aboard, we have our safety drill after which Jeff and I grab our champagne and head to the top of the boat for the sail away.

One of the other cruise ships has pulled out - it looks like a city block has broken loose from the land and is floating away. That ...

This morning,I decided to have a bit of a sleep in, with nothing planned for today, I thought I would check out of the hotel, having my luggage held at the hotel, take a leisurely breakfast, then decide on my plan for the day. Maybe I was looking in the wrong places, maybe my expectations are too great, but I could not find a cafe that served a breakfast as we know it. I eventually had to settle for a bacon and egg muffin after some thirty minutes looking. However, no matter how ...

... spent a full day enjoying ourselves until it was time to get home for some much needed supper!

Just a few days into August and we were on the move again - this time just up the road to visit with friends in downtown Vancouver. Susan and Larry are friends of old from Pennsylvania and they were spending time in their daughter, Ashley, and Angus’ apartment, looking after their cats, Olly and Luna, whilst they enjoyed the pleasures of Prague and Spain. ...

... br> I headed back along the route I had come and stopped for an ice cream and sat down on the edge of a river for some wonderful peace and quiet.
Ice cream eaten it was back on the bike and along the coast to the cruise liner port and back to my hotel.
The outside temp here today was about 26 Celsius so it was just great to go back to my glorious hotel room and get some cool air for a while.
4pm and I was back out and over to the cruise terminal to watch ...
