today everyone else has gone for what will doubtless be a very soggy hike up Kinder Scout. Having no raincoat and only one pair of usefull shoes, I opted to stay and mind the boat.

... we obviously came off at a different junction and got lost. Had to ask at a garage. Ended up going back onto motorway for one junction and we found it ok must have been around 4.45pm. On ground floor and just outside is our car where we leave it until 27th. There is a NT walk round the hotel so will probably go and give it a go also have a meal either here or to a pub nearby.
