Arrived in Delhi on a flight from Bangalore late on a Friday evening. As always, the traffic in and around the airport was congested with a blend of cars, motor rickshaws, trucks, taxis, bicycles and pedestrians all looking to use the roads in and out of the domestic airport facilities. The night time presents you with a different view of India - much is kept hidden in the darkness and shadows while lights signal points of activity such as a street hawkers, places to eat and opportunities to ...
Delhi, India chrisaWe (Mom and I ) left at dawn this morning, met up in Chicago for our flight to New York - La Guardia. Our flight was delayed due to weather in Chicago and then again for FAA "thining operations" which greatly increased the stress since we needed to take the bus for JFK for our flight to India. We opted to take a cab instaed of the bus which was the right choice. We arrived at JFK and checked in 1:30 prior to departure. A little close, but we made it! We flew on a B-777 of Air India in a 3-3-3...

The 7th and 8th still exist and are referred to as Old Delhi and New Delhi. New Delhi being the place which most Westerners refer to since it was built by the British as the capital of India in 1911. Do you like to sweat? Love mosquitoes? Then go visit India in late June! Actually, we were even lucky with...

India's IT-BPO sector, which was growing at a breakneck pace of about 30% in the past five years, is expected to be affected by the economic crisis in the US market. Delhi, India zameensandeep... to Delhi was packed full and took off at 1020am for the 2330 miles, six and a quarter hour flight. A nice and smooth flight, a reasonable breakfast, some reading up on India and then after nearly four hours we were cruising at 38,000 feet and had a fabulous view of the Himalayas in the distance. The flight map showed we were passing Mount Everest but I wouldn't be able to recognize it in the dozens and dozens of other, snow covered ...
