The nightly redeye from Amman to Delhi takes 6 hours. By the time dinner ends the movie is underway, and by the time that ends there's barely 3 hours before the lights come back on for landing prep. The Times of India newspaper has been running stories every day this week (including some on the front page) about open manholes and ditches all over the city after a few people have actually died by falling down them recently. These uncovered manholes are a serious issue across Delhi and the government does not seem to be doing much about it.
