The hotel and its environs

The Kinglsey hotel had the river as my backyard. So essentially that is what I saw every day outside my window-so theres several pictures of that, also later on the kayakers started to play there every night, so they are there too.Plus a few more friends.

Historical Traveler Reviews of The Kingsley Hotel Cork

Avoid until buildnig work complete!!!!

from A TripAdvisor Member
My Fiance and I stayed for two nights at the Kingsley Hotel and definitely would not go back. Firstly, there is a lot of building work going on and we were initially given a room overlooking the building work - that is, if you were able to see throught the opaque glass window!!!! After complaining, we were given a lovely room overlooking the river. The building work starts at 6:50am although we were told it wouldn't start until 8:00am. The breakfast was a joke - how a four star hotel can run out of croissants half an hour into the breakfast period is beyond me. The walk into Cork takes at leat 25 minutes. The reception staff were very helpful but for a hotel so far out of town, the Kingsley lacks something!

A lovely relaxing break

I have just returned from a throughly enjoyable weekend break at the Kingsley. We arrived on Friday evening and yes the building works are a bit unsightly from the outside but the friendly and efficient staff inside more than compensate for this.

A lovely relaxed environment, we enjoyed afternoon tea on Saturday afternoon overlooking the River Lee!

We stayed in room 226 (great shower), I would recommend asking for this room as it has lovely views of the River.

The leisure centre was lovely, really enjoyed to outdoor hot-tub.

Dinner on Friday night was superb we thought it was a nice touch to get the A la Carte menu as part of our package.

Kingsley hotel

Spent my 40th birthday at the kingsley. Would not hesitate to return. The food in the restaraunt was excellent, the rooms were very pleasant and the staff were very friendly. If your thinking about a trip to Cork you would have to look very hard for any better value for money.

Excellent!

Stayed at Kingsley Hotel for Easter. Excellent hotel, very clean and staff were helpful and friendly. Only down side was our room overlooked car park and building work (although no noise from site due to Easter).

Very impressed with my recent stay at the Kingsley, this was my third vist in th epast 2 months and, I am still amazed with its genuine hospitality. My only reservation was the construction going on but, to their credit, no interference in the operation.Full marks and i just adore the breakfast the worlds best!!!!

Fine hotel in Cork

from A TripAdvisor Member
I've stayed a few weeks at different times at the Kingsley and find it a super hotel. The staff is courteous and accomodating, the rooms generous size, with nice baths and furnishings. The restaurant, Otter's, is very good. There is a full health club, and the river behind the hotel is very pretty and a good place to walk. The walk into Cork city takes about 15 minutes.

Quality

from A TripAdvisor Member
A top-notch hotel. It appears to be fairly new and has some neat ammenities such as a remote control A/C-Heat. Nice bathroom as well (tub is a bit small to take shower). Extremely clean and worth the expensive cost. Breakfast is not quite up to what other nice hotels in Ireland offer, however, it is still nice. Well located perhaps 15 minutes from the airport. Would need a cab to get to city center about 10 minutes away. Slow elevators. Overall, a really quality hotel with a clear feeling of elegence.
