A Happy New Year to you all and we hope you had a good Christmas,

Well we are back. The time has come for us to stretch our legs again but a much shorter short trip this time, smaller bags packed and all accommodation booked before we leave.
It is one year and fifty one weeks since we made our epic journey by train across Europe and into Russia and China with lots of snow and very cold temperatures. ...

Well, I finally made it home at around 2.30am and suprised my family! They were pretty shocked and weren't expecting it at all! The journey home was easy, had a few tins of Carlsberg on the plane hoping it would send me to sleep - no such luck! I got a bit lost getting the train in England! ... we arrived at a beautiful back garden and were quickly welcomed into the lovely home of the perfect hosts, Pam and Mike (family friends of Robyn’s). As soon as the backpacks were off we were treated to true British tradition of a warm cup of tea, a slice of homemade cake and some wonderful company.

We appreciated the generosity so much that our "just a couple nights" turned into a week’s stay. We truly enjoyed our time being doted ...
