I felt pretty bloody seedy on Friday, wedding eve, and if we weren't in bed, we were on the couch, gingerly eating KFC and watching Match of the Day. We got our **** together eventually, and went to Moseley for dinner at the Thai restaurant there, and then had an early night back home.

On Saturday we all got up bright and early and dusted off the cobwebs, ready for the day ahead. ...

Well good news came in today as I’vereceived an email informing me that my British Council Preparatory Visit application to visit Iceland's Academy of the Arts was successful and I would be able to go ahead as planned fully funded and visit the academy in February(2012).

I've pretty much been planning this for 3 years now, ever since I came back from my month in America in 2008 and caught the 'travel bug'. In my head it still seems like something that I say I would love to do, but never actually get around to doing. I think that is the case for most people. So the fact that this idea that I've had for so long is going to become a reality in a month's time is very surreal!

Both feeling rather weary today. We had a late start. Maisie and I walked to Gayton this morning, in search of a shop. We found the pub, the school, the church but no shop.
