... away waiting for the boys. When they finally arrived, Chris and I ordered the BBQ chicken with unlimited rice, and two Halo Halo to share between us all. We had been meaning to try Mang Inasal's Halo Halo for a long time, and being our last night in the Philippines, it was a given. Although it was a little disappointing and not any better than the Halo Halo we had tried from the street vendors. Jing was keen to show us around his part of the city, and what better ...

Swimming, lazing, reading and drinking, takes up the rest of my busy day. That night I find a place up the beach for dinner. Afterwards, as I walk back to the bar, John greets me with his reeling motion again. You ain't landing this one, I whisper to myself. I have a few drinks over a few hours and talk to an Aussie ...

... the trip. The 5:30 boat was scheduled to leave from the temporary dock where we had arrived 5 days previous, as the other dock was "still broken" We arrived just before 5 to be told the boat was full and that no tickets were available. Surprise!! Not being sure that that was in fact the case, we hung around and kept asking the girl in charge of the tickets what the chances were of getting on the bot. When she packed up her paperwork ...
