Woke this morning to find our efforts were wasted and I'd been eaten by Mosquitos - not happy! We then loaded to the van and set off across Texas. I get the front seat on this journey woo! ... she pouts. Of course now Darren has ice cream in his head because she planted the seed. (which she was proud of) We drove another 35 - 40 miles and I decide to try Snowshoe remembering there is a small town right near the exit.

Well we lucked out they had added an ice cream store right off the highway since I was last there. There is not a snowball's chance in hell they had Whitehouse ice cream. People were walking out with twist cones. ...

... of the thicket. I sat in a camp folding chair along the side of the RV, and just sat there for an hour quietly calling, "kitty..... here kitty". After a very long and lonely hour, out of the edge of the thorny blackberry bushes, came little kitty. We were so thankful she came back.... we love our little kitty. She slept on the foot of the bed the entire night. Oh yeah, about our dinner.....that didn't happen that night.

... on it. These were amazing even though the sauce was a touch spicy. We also had huge bowls of crawfish come out. The only way I can describe these is that they are similar to crayfish but more of a yabby size. Basically they were lots of work for not much food.
