... Sorry Nashville, even though you have a great restaurant scene, you are too darn HOT and MUGGY! July 3rd. We left Destin along hwy 10 to Fairhope Alabama. I had heard of its quaintness. Beautiful city with flowers everywhere and great shopping. Unfortunately we could only spend an hour there. Again too hot and muggy, like Nashville. Long driving day. Had to switch campgrounds. Original one was just too ...

... up and had everything in the trailer by 8:15ish but as we went to accelerate the van got stuck in the mud and there was a slight hill so it was going no where. We tried to get it out for ages but to no avail so we went to find the owner Jim but apparently he was an hour and a half away so his neighbour Coleman came to help us in his 4x4 truck and even that got stuck before it was anywhere near us. Dang has crawfish for sale, it's inside a gas station and you can order it live or boiled. 3 lbs minimum and they are $2/lb live and $3/lb boiled. When I asked how much one person could eat, she said oh, about 3 lbs. 6 lbs later (figured the kids would prefer hotdogs) and we were set. SIX pounds is a LOT of crawfish to peel. Now we know.... Doggone tourists. But man was it good!!! The question becomes.... Will the Mosquitos quit biting us now that we are eating local ...

... down there for, we had a great day soaking up the sun, had lunch at a beach side bar then headed back to our little house on wheels. Corpus is about two hours from San Antonio so a total four hour drive did not leave us a lot of time but enough to burn Bruce's belly...!!!!

Next day we decided we wanted to return to Riverwalk in the evening to see the magic with the lights and less people. Well we got ...

... on it. These were amazing even though the sauce was a touch spicy. We also had huge bowls of crawfish come out. The only way I can describe these is that they are similar to crayfish but more of a yabby size. Basically they were lots of work for not much food. The most entertaining thing of all was all of the English people having no idea how to peel any of it and being completely creeped out by the poo trail and anything that didn't ...
