Took the road less travelled for our first day. Headed west on the I-290 W or Dwight Eisenhower Expressway for a bit before it was the US20 W. When we could we were off onto the IL 72W which was a much smaller road with much less traffic that went through suburbs and small towns.
Bought supplies for lunch in Addison - spent a whole $2.60 to get bread rolls, ham and a tomato. Back to our lunch of travels past - ...

It has been a great day by any measure, but made all the more spectacular in light of the day before. The hug that Alex gave me as we walked off the field after playing catch said it all.
