I had to wait for my carry on to come up so that I could go find my big suitcase. There wasn't enough room so our carry ons had to go under the plane. Once we had breakfast we headed off to do a wildlife Mississippi boat cruise ....the river is huge with many islands in the middle ...the river goes for about 2900 miles...from north to way down south. There are 3 rivers that connect ...Mississippi, Black and Minisotta rivers. Very impressive. We didn't have the paddle steamer ..as expected... But a small boat.was ok ..just not so grand. We lunched at One Eleven Main where I had some delicious catfish. After lunch we walked around the city admiring its historical architecture, including the oldest house in Galena, Dowling House, built in 1826. A lot of buildings had faded hand painted advertisements which Kelli admired for their typography. We walked off lunch and then piled back in the car bound for Chicago. ...
