Today, I set off on a trip that I last took nearly a quarter century ago. ... highways. No such luck. Next stop was Guttenberg which turns out to be quite a little tourist town on the river at a lock. Found a quaint motel in an old list building right on the river. Reasonably priced room, even free wifi.
Had dinner at a nearby cafe also overlooking the river. I tried cat fish and Wes had a smoked Iowa chop. Watched a boat push 12 barges down the river. Barges are tied together.
