... on a good 5,000 more as the blog just looks at my check in points and works it as the crow flies so 30,000 miles or so is pretty good going. Hopefully over the next few years I can get a few more miles under my belt and visit some of the places I didn't manage to get to this time. This blog is also hopefully the first of many so until next time I will bid you all farewell.

... After the tour we had a light lunch at the cafe then drove onto Durham. The A1 was diverted at Berwick on Tweed via the A682 to where it joined the A1 just before Newcastle. Very nice farming areas with lots of hay making and sheep. Found the accommodation but no meals Sunday so had to walk 10 mins to a hotel.
