    A few miles after leaving Twillingate, we detoured from the main route to visit what was described by our guidebook as a "picturesque fishing village." We thought twice about going the extra six miles out of our way, but since we were already behind schedule, we figured it didn't much matter.     We had a couple of blow outs today, a flat tire which Kerry fixed in about 5 minutes. Second blow out was our mattress, we got all set up for camping - made a feast for dinner - then discovered that the air mattress had a big gash in it. Not sleeping on the hard ground, no way. So we packed every everything up again ...
