... mile mark 243 begins miles of sunflowers. Unfortunately, they are each facing down and it is hard to see them. Made it to our campsite at Interior RV Campground at 4:14 Mountain Time (6:14 on our bodies!). Cocktails are in order after 8 hours 45 minutes on our bods. Our site was chosen for hook-ups even though it only has 30 amp - we won't need air conditioning tonight anyway! I've included pictures of our view of the Badlands from our ...

... park of some 242,756 acres of grass prairie and sharply eroded buttes and pinnacles, with a lot of prairie dogs, which could be mistaken for rabbits at first glance. They look and behave a bit like meerkats, and dig holes every where like rabbits.

For the last day or so I have passed through many miles of very flat corn and soybean crop. So neat, they would appeal to any ...

... this week. A good place to stay away from.

On stops along the way we saw various highway art, the Corn Palace, which last year was undergoing renovations and is now complete, and a little thirteen lined ground squirrel. The outside of the Corn Palace is decorated with parts of the corn plant.

... took Izzie over to the pool for a swim. Mom and Dad bought her a little inflatable so she enjoyed sitting in the water and splashing about. When we got back, Dave made an excellent dinner. Dave is quite a good cook. By the time dinner was over, Izzie was ready for bed so the kids headed back to the condo. About this time, the hockey game started. I love it when the stars align and the Black Hawks win.

    The Perfect Night with Izzie

... it worked. Izzie went back to sleep and woke up at 7:30. She was a perfect angel during the night. She woke up with a smile on her face. Izzie had a great breakfast of formula, raspberries, and bananas. After breakfast we took Izzie for a walk around the condo. We stopped at the swing for a couple of minutes.

We met up with Lisa and Dave at about 10:00am. Again, it was a perfect night with Izzie.

    Happy Trails,
