    ... Luckily for us we came across a boat tour along the river that ran through town for a ridiculously good price so on we all hopped! It was definitely worth it as we learnt a bit about the history of Canterbury and observed the scenic route along the river taking in all the beautiful autumn colours.     ... Memorial which was quite enjoyable high up on the cliff top. Development in the near future of an education/display area will see this as a great place to stop at if in the area. Unfortunately both display aircraft, a spitfire and a hurricane, were being refurbished so we did not get to see them.
