So things I didn't expect about Surfers -
thing number one... it's overcast and a little drizzly today (though still
deliciously warm) and thing number two.... I love it here. About a
billion times more than Brisbane. Which is odd coz I'm not a
sittin-on-the-beach-doin-nothin girl. Mind you I have only spent about
5 minutes with my feet in the sand so far.....
My train ride from Brisbane was nice, and not at all eventful. So far I really like
the public transport sys...
surfers paradise was amazing the weather was spectacular. henry gave us all an assignment that involved us all constructing a design in the sand. it was a lot of fun and we all enjoyed ourselves after we lathered up in sunscreen. the waves were huge and i can see how this place got its name. i ate some fantastic fish and chips and wondered the town when the sun went down. i woke early the next morning before 6am and took photos of the sunrise and the ocean kyakers. it was a nice change ...
Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia kaarifirorYou can travel up and down the Gold Coast easily, you can take a taxi or rent a car but it is very easy to use the Shullte Bus Services along the Gold Coast, we used Surfside Transfer Services which were reliable, comfortable, friendly and cheap. We stayed at the Watermark Hotel Gold Coast which was quite reasonable, it cost about AU$ 155 a night and we were upgraded to a deluxe room which was nice. We used Gold Coast Hotels foir the discount offer. It was easy to walk to other parts of Surfe...

... a hippy haven straight out of the 70's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nimbin,_Ne w_South_Wales.

It is only a small place, so a walk up the main street only takes a couple of minutes. We make a quick stop at the Rainbow Cafe for organic smoothies and read some of the locally produced literature - very heavy on environmental ethics! All in ...

Surfers Paradise, Australia pinklaura123... the keys but as I'm a nice guy, I bit my tongue. Moved to Surfers Paradise backpackers which was alright. The surf show started up again that morning at 8.30 and we got there about 11, around the semi's. Kelly Slater was due to surf but pulled out with a shoulder injury. It was a scorcher on the beach and the surf show area was jammed. The commentators were always taking the ****************er-bys and on the beach they ...

Our trip At this stage we depart on Wednesday nite...unfortunately i miss out on the Robbie Williams concert.. :p but hmmm i suppose going on a 6 week holiday probably makes up for it! Brisbane, Australia dbhere7... was easily made to ride Superman Escape a last time or two, so it was off to the lockers once more. We disembarked from our first ride just over 30 minutes after we had deposited our bags in the locker, and at close to 5pm the queue was not any shorter. Despite the situation the decision was made to queue for one last ride, in the hope that we would be out of the park in time for our 5:30pm transfer bus back to the apartments. As the time ticked away we began to worry ...
