... lying around the rubbish bin near the entrance. We enter and smell the same Indian coking smell we have experienced before (we are quickly finding that the Indians run most of the cheaper motels in this country). He offers us a choice of two rooms, so we go and take a look. Upon entering Cath's eyes are drawn to the dirty handprints all over the walls, the chair that is hung over the door knob leading to the next room and then ...
Little Falls, New York, United States cadelecWe were nervous. What could go wrong? Oh, just about everything. Pulling a camper is a bit different than packing a tent... what would we forget? What if we get a flat? Oh God - the sewage! What if we foul that up somehow?
Turns out I forgot the can opener. So we didn't have corn beef hash for breakfast the first morning. Not the end of the world ...
Our ride today was along the Erie Canal and through the Mohawk Valley. I am sure that there would hae been many oppertunities for great photos but the only two I took today were when we stopped to batten down for the rain and then at the first rest stop. The rest of the time it was RAINING. I have never ...

As a side note, while admission to the was museum was only $10, after visiting Madame Tussaud's we were disappointed to see a limited number of was figures. And all of the wax figures were behind glass or had barriers set up so that you could have pose with them for pictures. We did enjoy reading the biographies of the players, though.

... of Doubleday field around noon in preparation of today's game. The weather was very fickle - one minute very dark clouds were overhead and we were bracing for the rain; the next minute the sun was out.
I was invited into the dugout for the first few innings to take pictures - what fun! The boys started out slow going into the fourth inning behind 0-1.

This morning we traveled the last 35 minutes to Yogi Bears' Jellystone Park in Cooperstown, New York. We arrived and finished setting up right before the rain started. So we settled in to watch a movie - Night at the Museum 2.
The campground is very nice, with lots of amenities. The only downside -- NO CELL SERVICE! The boys are going through text withdrawal. I have to admit, I was ...
Around 8:30pm Ronny & Kevin decided they wanted to leave for the weekend. So, we packed the rest of the stuff into the camper and took off. We spent the night in WalMart parking lot in Oneonta, New York. We arrived around midnight. The boys hiked it over to Burger King expecting a snack. Unfortunately, only their ...
Oneonta, New York, United States dmassoud... the many more mountains that their weak frail bodies, wooden canvas carts and failing horses had to mount to reach the "gold" of their desires. What faith these folks had to have. Faith in something better on the other side of those mountain peaks, faith in the ones who were leading them across these unknown paths, faith in themselves, and most likely faith in the One who created all of it. Faith like that would be ...
Herkimer, New York, United States joyinjesus... of it is lurid and ghastly, some of it is kind of funny, and most of it is definitely creepy. We loved it. The funniest part was a very dramatic guillotine scene set up towards the end, which we watched in rapt attention, waiting for the nasty blade to fall and decapitate its poor victim! Unfortunately, we were left in suspense as the blade creeeeeeeped up to its starting point, and then.... it STUCK. Yup! It never came down. VERY sad. One thing we ...
